Lion's Choice is a St. Louis-based fast casual restaurant chain specializing in roast beef sandwiches. The first store opened in Ballwin, Mo., in 1967, under the name Brittany Beef for a short while, and then Red Lion Beef House.
Their specialty is serving lean beef that is slow-roasted in the restaurant and is sliced fresh for each sandwich ordered. The restaurant sponsors a number of charities and teams. Their motto is "Real Roasted Beef — Ready Right Now." The Midwest restaurant's name originates from the King of the Jungle's choice in foods. Hence the name, Lion's Choice.

Wehrenberg Theatres is the oldest and largest family-owned movie theatre chain in America. In 1906, Fred Wehrenberg launched the Cherokee Theatre. Business boomed and he opened a second venue, the Airdome. The Airdome was St. Louis' first open-air venue, basically a drive-in without cars. A screen was erected at one end of a fenced-in lot while an elevated projection booth was built across from it. Guests sat on folding chairs and benches placed on the bare ground. In the winter, a canvas tarp trapped the heat from potbellied stoves to keep guests warm.
The Wehrenbergs built St. Louis' best theatre, the first building in the city constructed expressly for use as a motion-picture theatre. In 1948, Ronnie's was opened as the first Wehrenberg Drive-In; named after Mr. Wehrenberg's grandson, Ronald Paul Krueger. In the 1960s and 1970s multiplexes became the popular choice of movie-goers. Wehrenberg's Cinema Four Center in St. Charles became the first multiplex in the St. Louis area. In the late 1980s and into the 1990s, they started building megaplexes of ten or more screens. Over the years, Wehrenberg Theatres has remained family-owned-and-operated. Grandson, Ron Krueger, continues today as Chairman and CEO.

River Valley Ordnance is a small machine shop that refurbishes once-fired ammunition cartridges for commercial and individual reloaders. When available, they also sell military supplies, mostly pertaining to ammunition, such as ammo cans, collectible cartridges, and the 5.56mm cartridge stripper clip, to list a few. River Valley is primarily a mail-order service, having customers in every state as well as internationally.
The concept of River Valley Ordnance began in a basement by Thomas Owsley who had a background as an electrician and self-taught machinist. He would refurbish his own cartridges by hand and some for his friends which turned into a lot of friends. Mr. Owsley eventually purchased a commercial cartridge processing machine to help with his infant business and then officially opened his doors to River Valley Ordnance.
Throughout the 1990s, River Valley Ordnance grew, acquiring, and refurbishing many more pieces of arsenal equipment and expanding their product and processing lines. With the growth of the internet, they were able to "go national". They are not without hardships. They struggled and fought through the dot com bubble burst, 9/11, and the economic crashes of 2007, 2008, and 2012. But nothing put River Valley Ordnance in more jeopardy than the death of their founder, Thomas Owsley, in 2004. Thomas's wife, Nikki, and her son Zachary were able to learn over time and figure out all of the many things Thomas had done to make River Valley such a successful business. They continue to re-invent themselves, make new product lines, and slowly expand a bit more.

Ed and Margie Imo began their journey to St. Louis Pizza History as a pair of young, hardworking St. Louisians who fell in love, started a family and dreamed of owning their own home. They opened their first pizza parlor in 1963 at Thurman and Shaw Avenues.

Daniel's Farm and Greenhousees is a local, family-owned business. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Koenig moved to this farm location in 1956. It started as a 70-acre truck farm with approximately 550 apple trees and peach trees in their orchard. The family raised strawberries, black and red raspberries, sweet corn, peppers, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, cabbage, cantaloupe, watermelon, pumpkins, cucumbers, green beans and five varieties of squash. Most crops were hand-planted, hand-picked, hand-packed and taken to local grocery stores and a produce row off Broadway in St. Louis. The family also had a produce stand along Old Highway 94 near White Castle during the early 1960s to mid 1970s.
In 1987, sixty acres were sold and is now the Misty Valley Subdivision. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Koenig retired in 1990. Daniel Koenig took possession and responsibility of Koenig's On the Hill in August 1990 and is still the current owner. Daniel continued expanding the farm. In 1993, he set up a mum growing field for 15,000 plants, installed a drip irrigation system and built the sales and display area in front of the 4 new greenhouses. In 1994, they started selling a few trees and shrubs. The nursery expanded in 1998, and in 2003, bins for gravel, mulch, and topsoil were added. In 1997, the business name was changed to Daniel's Farm and Greenhouses and the business continued to expand. In 2000, a new planting house and irrigation system was put in place. In more than 1 acre of greenhouses, Daniel's has over 10,000 hanging baskets, hundreds of sun and shade perennials, and over 100,000 pots of colorful annuals. In addition, October Harvest activities bring families from all over the St. Charles region to enjoy a petting zoo, straw maze, and full activity area. Pete arrived in the St. Louis area from Sicily in 1960 and in 1970 opened his first restaurant in Florissant. In 1991, Pete and Joan relocated the restaurant to St. Peters where it has become a favorite to many in this area, as well as from across the bridge. Their menu offers a large variety of delicious pastas, hand cut steaks, chicken, veal, seafood and, of course, our hand-tossed pizzas. All food is cooked to order.
